CLINTON -- Rep. Bill Mitchell R-(Forsyth) is proposing passage of an Arizona-style immigration law in Illinois. Mitchell was in Clinton recently during a trip he made around his district on the issue.

Hospital board agrees
to buildnew facility

CLINTON--The Dr. John Warner Hospital board on Monday agreed to seek bids on a new facility to be built on South Street across from Hardees.

Accidents leave
two men dead

CLINTON--Accidents resulted in the deaths of two men in DeWitt County Sunday.
Kevin P. Kane, 56, of rural Farmer City, died in a single-vehicle crash west of Grand Road on Parnell Road. According to a news release from Coroner Alex Calvert, a passerby noticed his vehicle late Sunday morning, and Kane was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1 ...more
