New agreement would generate revenue for jail

CLINTON -- The DeWitt County jail lost about $300,000 in revenue from 2010 to 2011 because of changes that reduced the number of federal prisoners housed at the facility. A new agreement, however, with Cook County could help restore most of that loss.

Hospital revenue, expenses remain at odds for FY

CLINTON -- Dr. John Warner Hospital revenue followed a similar trend in December to that of November, as reported to the hospital board on Monday.

City gets update on Tree Commission

CLINTON -- Clinton Tree Commission chairman John Baker updated the city council this week about his group's activities. The commission makes decisions on new tree plantings and tree removals on city property. The group can also offer advice about trees to homeowners.
