As of last Monday, three schools have been given the green light by their respective school boards to leave the Okaw Valley Conference.
On Monday, Meridian held its regularly-scheduled board of education meeting. Among the topics discussed at the meeting was the possibility of leaving the conference.
After a brief discussion on the subject, the Meridian board of education voted, as principal Jack Blickensderfer stated via e-mail, “to allow the Administration ([Athletic Director] and Principal) to join a new conference if that is in our best interest.”
With the Meridian BOE’s vote, the school became the third to reach a tentative decision to leave the OVC.
