CJHS plays final volleball matches before regionals

Clinton High School wrestler Logan WInter won his first round match 3-1 on Thursday in the IHSA State Wrestling Finals, in the State Farm Center on the University of Illinois campus. Winter was scheduled for his second round match on Friday morning.

MAROA -- The Lady Maroons started their regional tournament play on Tuesday.† The tournament is being played at Maroa-Forsyth High School, and the Lady Maroons faced the home team Lady Trojans.†
In the first game of the evening, the Monticello Lady Sages beat the Lady Cardinals of Warrensburg-Latham to avdance to the Championship game on Thursday, Feb. 12.

CLINTON -- The day Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter, the Lady Maroons put the freeze on the Lady Hawks of Meridian High School.†
Mondaywas not only Groundhog Day but a day of basketball for Clinton's Lady Maroons.† The usually strong Meridian teams seemed to be in a "Big Chill" coming from south of Decatur.

A Turkey Tussle rematch in Clinton

CLINTON -- In late November 2014, the Clinton Lady Maroons hosted their†first ever Thanksgiving basketball tournament, the Turkey Tussle.† Clinton lost in the championship game to the Tri-Valley Lady Vikings.†
