This season has been designated as an away season with a major portion of all competitions away from the home confines.  This makes the reporting tougher, but with the cooperation of coaches sending in results and a little creative ingenuity, the Clinton Maroons competitions will be covered as best as possible.

CLINTON -- Although the Lady Maroons volleyball teams are struggling, there is improvement in their play. 
On Thursday, September 15, all  three teams were on the court against a tough Lady Rams crew from Shelbyville.

CLINTON -- The Clinton High School Lady Maroons volleyball teams (35-strong) have had their trials at the start of this season. 
In their home openers on August 30 against the El Paso-Gridley (EPG) Lady Titans the Lady Maroons struggled.  The freshman team was the highlight of the evening with their first set win (25-22) and a tie at the end

CHS Maroons suffer loss at home

CLINTON -- On Friday, September 9, the Clinton Maroons football team faced the very tough Tuscola Warriors on the rain-soaked, at-home Sprague Field. 
This was also Junior Football League (JFL) night, the future of Maroons football.  Each player was introduced to the fans in a ceremony before the actual game began.

After a huge victory in their home and season opener, the Clinton High School (CHS) Maroons traveled northward to start off September. 
On Friday, September 2, the Maroons faced the Reed-Custer Comets from Braidwood.  This game was a complete turn around from the week before.

CLINTON -- Yes, there is football on nights other than Friday. 
Here in hometown Clinton, it happened on a Monday, Aug. 29 After a varsity win over Villa Grove-Heritage (VG-H) on Friday, their junior varsity arrived Monday to take their shot at a win against the Maroon's JV.  The Maroons had other ideas though.

CLINTON -- On Friday, the Clinton High School (CHS) Maroons football team began a new season, chalking up a win for the home crowd.
