CLINTON - The Clinton fourth grade boys basketball team placed third at the Clinton Classic Basketball Tournament January 23 and 24 at Clinton Junior High School.

On Saturday, Clinton defeated Maroa 31-13 and Heyworth 43-20.

The following day, Clinton defeated a tough Mahomet team 27-18.

The Clinton fourth graders were undefeated against other fourth grade teams at the tournament.

The team now has a record of 22-6. They hope to improve upon the already impressive record with a good showing at the Farrell Flat Tournament in Illiopolis February 5, 6, and 7.
