CLINTON – Evelyn L. Schumaker, age 94, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away at Manor Court, Clinton at 8:57 a.m. January 29, 2010.

A visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvert Funeral Home. Kurt Flora will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton.

Evelyn was born in Heyworth, Illinois on November 12, 1915, a daughter of Frank Glenn and Elsie (Dawson) Glenn. She married Roy J. Schumaker on February 14, 1934 in Clinton, Illinois. Roy passed away August 18, 2003.

Survivors include: four grandchildren: Sherri (Jim) Sparrow, of Lincoln, Ill.; Polly (Bryan) Vaughan, of Wilmingon, OH; Roland Schumaker II, of Lexington, Ill.; Skye Ann Schumaker, of Heyowrth, Ill., seven great-grandchildren: Tyler, Tanner and Trevor Schumaker; Taylor and Austin Sparrow; Alexandria and Cameron Vaughn, daughter in law: Rachael Schumaker, of Heyworth.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, one daughter: Carol and one son: Roland.

Grandmother of four, Great-grandmother of seven.

She was affiliated with United Church of Heyworth, Heyworth, Ill. She was a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed Knitting, Crocheting and Cooking.
