Roy Eugene Lampe

CLINTON – Roy Eugene Lampe, of Clinton, formerly of Vandalia, went to Heaven on Saturday, February 27. Son of the late William J. Lampe and Agnes T. Townsend Lampe. Roy was born Oct. 12, 1943 in Loogootee, Ill.
On February 7, 1969 in Vandalia, he was united in marriage with Sharon J. Lester.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, his daughter Tina Lampe, stepdaughter Teri and husband Jeff Kleist, stepson Tony Brannon all of Clinton, eight grandchildren. His dearly loved little dog (Buckywheat) Brothers Richard and wife Anna Marie Lampe, of Arthur, Ill., Charles and wife Pansey Lampe, of Centralia, sisters: Ginny and husband Merle Skjolaas, Stoughton, Wisc.; Norma Jean and husband Bud Manuel, Altamount, Ill.
Preceded in death by his son William M. Todd Lampe, sisters Martha Mitchell and Ruthie Lampe.
Roy served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Beatty. He was a proud veteran. Member of Laborer’s Local 703 Union Hall. Roy loved being surrounded by his family.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, Ill. Graveside services arranged by Holt and File Funeral Home.
