FLORA – Mildred Baity, 91, of Flora, Ill., died at 11:25 a.m. Friday February 26, 2010, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Xenia Christian Church in Xenia, Ill. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora and also after 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the church. Mrs. Baity was born October 28, 1918, in Xenia, Ill. to Homer and Mary (Greenwood) Luttrell. She married Dilla Baity on October 4, 1939 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1970. During her life, she worked at Flora International Shoe and other area garment factories. She was a member of the Heart & Hands Quilting Club of Xenia, was a longtime member of Xenia Christian Church, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafting.
Surviving are two daughters: Trixie Baity of Flora, formerly of Clinton, and Kay (Gary) Trotter of Cisne; one granddaughter: Monique (Kyu) Cho of Edwardsville; three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Adam and Ian. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and five sisters.
