Scott Michael Nelson

CLINTON — Scott Michael Nelson, 40, Clinton, Ill., passed away at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his residence in Clinton. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on July 10 at Waynesville Christian Church. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to his family. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Ill. helped the family with cremation services.

Scott was born in Clinton, Ill. on Oct. 11, 1971, the son of Charles and Nellie Fields Nelson, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Nellie of Clinton, Ill.; two sons Brady Scott and Ashton Steven; special aunt and uncle Ernie and Mildred Danner. Scott is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Jr., maternal grandparents Lewis and Mildred Fields and paternal grandparents Charles and Ethel Nelson.

Scott was born on his great-grandfather Henry E. Preston’s birthday.

He worked as a cook for many years at Greacian Garden. Scott was in ill health for several years due to diabetes.

Scott loved watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears on TV and he was a member of the Waynesville Christian Church.
