Dreamus L. Sickles

DECATUR — Dreamus L. Sickles, 100, of Decatur, Ill., passed away at 4:19 p.m. on June 25, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, June 29, at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, Ill. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Calvert’s, Maroa, Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Maroa Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Dove.

Dreamus was born on January 1, 1912 in Oreana, Ill., daughter of Roy Creekmur and Ethel (Luckenbill) Creekmur. She married Francis M. Sickles in 1928. He passed away in 1971.

Survivors include children Evelyn Rawlings, Pana, Ill.; Merle Dean Sickles, Decatur, Ill.; Gene Sickles, Decatur, Ill.; Cheryl (Jim) Sargent, Decatur, Ill., and Darrel (Leslie) Sickles, Clinton, Ill. and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren.

Her parents, four children and three brothers preceded her in death.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, Cubs baseball and horses. She loved her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great- great- grandchildren and spending time with them.
