Wapella Village Board votes to not pay bills

WAPELLA — For the second time in two months, the Wapella Village Board has failed to approve payment of its monthly bills.

A dispute between trustees during its May meeting about the purchase of a drop box for water bills resulted in the board failing to approve payment of its bills. On Tuesday, the board again failed to approve payment of its bills, this time because of a dispute over restroom doors.
